How It Started

Energencia Academy was founded in May 2007 in KwaZulu-Natal. Alanha Prior joined the academy as a student in 2010. After completing a comprehensive curriculum, including Reiki Master training, she began teaching in 2014.

Over the years, she has had the privilege of developing and facilitating a variety of courses and workshops. In August 2019, she became the Principal and Owner of Energencia Academy.

With over a decade of experience as a Master Teacher, Alanha is dedicated to nurturing a supportive and inspiring learning environment for all our students.

About Alanha

Alanha’s journey with Reiki began as a personal quest for deeper meaning and understanding. A transformative experience led her to enroll in a Reiki course at Energencia. It was through Reiki that she found answers to long-held questions about herself and her place in the world. Recognizing the profound impact Reiki had on her life, she felt compelled to share this gift with others.

She is deeply passionate about the work she does and considers it a privilege to work with Reiki energy and connect with so many wonderful people. Reiki has taught her a new way of thinking and being, enriching her life in ways she never imagined.

From the Heart & Soul

My profound journey with Energencia began after my sudden spiritual awakening. I desperately needed guidance and direction on how to cope with and manage the unknown experiences from my awakening. The Reiki course provided me with tools, knowledge and understanding on how to use Reiki to heal my Chronic Asthma, Inner child trauma and severe sciatica nerve pain. Reiki helps me relieve aches and pains, process difficult emotions, and stay resilient amid my challenges. I learnt the use & benefits of daily meditation & affirmations, which I practice regularly. My reiki journey has opened doors of opportunities for me to heal myself, my family & others too. I have witnessed many miracles using Reiki as an alternate healing therapy, for instance, my husband’s Renal failure & Congestive cardiac failure conditions, Reiki healing helped when there was no hope of him ever recovering in ICU. He is now referred to as “God’s miracle man” by all the staff in the ICU ward. His health has improved significantly, there is now renewed hope of his medical conditions stabilizing so that he would be able to lead a more productive life in the future. Reiki can therefore be used as an alternate healing therapy in combination with medical treatment to improve your natural healing abilities. Alanha is truly an amazing Master Teacher with great spirituality and compassion. She imparts knowledge and wisdom during the course in a seemingly effortless and natural way. She is completely genuine, humble and down to earth. She has supported & guided me in my path of becoming a Master teacher so that I am able to inspire and change lives. You come away knowing that she’ll be there every step of the way to support you in your journey. The environment is friendly and encourages people to share their ideas and experiences and it's a great place to learn together.
